Demo links both on README and cannonjs.org are broken (404)

Seems like all you need to do is change the github.com url to github.io: https://schteppe.github.io/cannon.js/
The demos are also hosted at https://pmndrs.github.io/cannon-es/ but for the somewhat more recent cannon-es
