Some of my scripts and code snippets I use
Please note that these scripts and snippets were mainly written to use by myself, not for general public.
Therefore, elegancy and corner cases were not in mind when these scripts were written.
This script downloads a video or a livestream from youtube, optionally convert ts stream to mp4.
Needed tools:
- yt-dl
This is the main tool which can download a video or a stream from the current position. - streamlink (optional)
This tool can download streams from multiple platforms. It can also save the stream from the beginning. - ffmpeg (optional)
This tool can convert the downloaded TS (transport stream) file to mp4. TS file could be played by a video player however playing from given position will not work.
This script reduces the size and quality in current directory. I use it to reduce images for uploading to wordpress.
Creates directories based on dates and symlinks images into them. Handy when you have thousands of images but you want to process only a few days or events.
Just a small script which wraps openssl to encrytp or decrypt a file.
Writes out all the built-in styles of clang-format.
A really old script which asks random words from a dictionary. Works both way. The english-hungarian dictionary is from the free StarDict project.
An old project to keep my wireless headphones turned on. It's really annoying when white noise hits you unexpectedly.
