Link associated with author name on post page

Great theme...just uploaded it yesterday and like it a lot!

ssp_temp_capture

Right now the link to the author name is a combination of -

  • path to the most recent post

and

  • the URL that I add in my Ghost user profile

http://cjremus.ghost.io/rolling-with-this-first-thing/cjrcycl.es

Any chance to make the link point to a user-defined page, i.e. twitter account, other contact or profile info? If not, how about just pointing it back to the blogs home page for now? Right now the above link is sending readers to a broken link.

Thanks!

What version of Ghost are you using, @cjremus? I can't duplicate the issue here and want to test.

0.4.0-moya1, thanks for looking into this...Chris

@cjremus I notice this is working as intended on your page. I could not duplicate. Did you discover the issue?

@sethlilly I removed the "cjrcycl.es" link from my profile in the "Website"
field as a work-around. That would be the link that you can add here and
in the attached screen shot -

https://cjremus.ghost.io/ghost/settings/user/

Now the link goes back to the post the user is currently viewing. Is this
the intention?

I just added a link in the "Website" field to test again, it looks like
whatever link is entered in the "Website" field is appended to the link of
the current post the user is viewing.

@cjremus I was able to reproduce the issue! In the Website field, you must include http:// or https://. If you do not, it will append the entered URL to the URL currently being viewed. I'm going to write a patch for this and submit to Ghost core.

@cjremus Further information: known bug in Ghost core. TryGhost/Ghost#1623

@sethlilly Sounds great, thanks!
