This is a JavaScript code for Qualtrics surveys in order to validate an IBAN code using the checksum algorithm.
-
Click on
Advanced Question Options
(wheel icon) and click on add JavaScripts.
-
Copy-paste the code in
qualtrics-iban-check.js
to the relevant field.
-
The rest should work out of the box. Click on
Preview
to test. -
If necessary, modify the messages defined in the
invalidtext
andvalidtext
variables. -
The validator function is adapted from a StackOverflow question, and can be modified if a more advanced check is required or to restrict it to a specific country format. There are more advanced JavaScript packages to validate IBANS. So you can combine these packages with the Qualtrics application here.
