Android app built on Cordova that allows your children to watch YouTube videos, only from the channels selected by you.
You need an API key to use this app, anyone can get API key from Google officially for free and with in few minutes.
- Open this page
- Click on CREATE PROJECT and then CREATE
- Click on ENABLE API AND SERVICES
- In YouTube section, click YouTube Data API v3 and then ENABLE it
- Click CREATE CREDENTIALS
- In Choose... choice box, select YouTube Data API v3
- In the next Choose... choice box, select Web browser (Javascript)
- Then select Public data
- Click What credentials do I need?
- There you go, you got your API key there, copy it and save it and don't give it to anybody. ;)
Due to the Quota limitations of API, you can only make about 100 searches per day (Channels and Videos combined). should be enough, no?
