Pinned Repositories
breakout_prototype
Quick and (very) dirty prototype of breakout in JS on canvas, just to kill an evening.
cdecl
My own implementation of "The Piece of Code that Understandeth All Parsing" (a C declarator parser) from the book "Expert C Programming: Deep C Secrets" by Peter Van Der Linden. Not nearly as elegant as his implementation later in the chapter, I soon learned. But also the first C program I wrote on my own. Makes you miss higher level languages.
codefights_secretArchivesLock
My submission for a "Beautiful Javascript Challenge" on code fights. Not the most beautiful by a mile, but all code is worth saving somewhere, nonetheless.
fixed_point_diagnostics
Diagnostic code testing performance of fixed-point arithmetic vs. native floating point arithmetic as processed by the .NET CLR.
Hands-On-Network-Programming-with-CSharp-and-.NET-Core
Hands-On Network Programming with C# and .NET Core, published by Packt
minesweeper_prototype
Quick hack of minesweeper in Javascript with canvas. Just some practice to keep myself occupied on a Wednesday night.
multi-threaded_processing_simulator
Trivial example written in Java of how a single core processor could simulate multi-threaded processing by alternating between tasks in a queue.
shburns.github.io
Github Pages website for my public account
snake_prototype
Another quick hack of a simple retro-style game. This time it was "Snake". This one only took me about 1 hour. I'm getting better.
space_shooter_prototype
Simple prototype for a retro-style space shooter. Something to keep me occupied on a rainy Saturday morning.
