SimpleCV seems to be dead. There is no response from @kscottz and @xamox the former main contributors in #668 and SightMachine is not answering to private emails sent to their info@s... address. Right now I will send another e-mail messages and a tweet to SightMachine asking about a statement.
The SimpleCV twitter account is inactive for a long time and the forum is filled with spam.
I think that the point is reached where it's valid to fork SimpleCV and to start over. Of course, this would be pretty bad from a marketing point of view and the brand 'SimpleCV' itself but at the moment there seems to be no way to continue with the existing project.
My hope is that there is a group of people out there willing to include support for Python3 and OpenCV3.
SimpleCV is dead. Sad, but true. Want to do something about it? I would be up for it.
