Tested the URL in browser it definitely returns JSON data.

There is so much wrong here.

In your example the command should be "go build" not "go compiler"
The listening port is 8181 but the script prints 8081
..And it doesn't seem to work any way.
Fixing your example would not real get my issue resolved.
This looks like a massive waste of my time.

I'll just write a JSON to prometheus endpoint in python.
