I getting this error using with Ruby 1.9.3p547

What platform are you using ?

Never mind my question, I added Ruby 1.9.3 and 2.1.2 on Travis and have the same issue ;) I'll fix it quickly.

Ok this is fixed, let's release now.

And done. You can now download MemFs v0.4.1 and it should work as expected.
