UCL publishes daily statistics of COVID-19 cases for UCL staff and students. This repository contains this data for previous days, so as to better understand any trends present.
Hourly snapshots of the original data can be found in data/original/. These files are processed to extract the underlying data in JSON and CSV formats. Data reported on Tuesday covers Saturday, Sunday and Monday so the daily statistics share these values over these three days. Versions are also available without the smoothing, in JSON and CSV. Weekly and total cases don't need such smoothing, so data for Saturday and Sunday are simply omitted. The file format is not guaranteed to remain stable.
The CSV and JSON files contain the following groups of data series. For each group, the four series are regarding staff (on campus), staff (off campus), students (on campus), students (off campus):
- Daily cases (as reported):
staff.on, staff.off, student.on, student.off - Weekly cases (as reported):
staff7.on, staff7.off, student7.on, student7.off - Total cases since start of Term 1 (as reported):
stafftotal.on, stafftotal.off, studenttotal.on, studenttotal.off - Weekly cases (calculated from daily cases):
staffrolling7.on, staffrolling7.off, studentrolling7.on, studentrolling7.off
The JSON file is also available over HTTPS, suitable for plotting on web pages, at
