- Start the appium server when it has been installed.
- Open an emulator with Android Studio; Google Pixel XL with Android 11.
- Open a terminal in the project root.
- Run npm install.
- Run expo eject --npm
- Follow the instructions on the terminal. You might need to run @npx react-native-community/cli doctor.
- Run npx jetify
- Run npm run android when the emulator is up.
- Go to https://github.com/ardaakcabuyuk/appium-test-automation, and clone the project.
- Install the mvn dependencies and change the related fields with your emulator settings on Main.java, with the IDE of your choice (intelliJ is recommended), and run it.
- If everything is set up correctly, the appium server should be able to automate the app.
- The console displays whether or not a case has failed.
