plant-hub: A TypeScript repository from solidtop

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, make sure you have Node.js version 18.17 or above installed Then run the following command in your terminal to install dependencies:

npm install

Setup local MongoDB

Make sure to download MongoDB Community server at: https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/community Then add the following url to .env file in the project:

MONGODB_URL=mongodb://localhost:27017/plant-hub

JWT key

Include a JWT key to the .env file like following

JWT_KEY=[YOUR-JWT-KEY]

API key

Head over to https://perenual.com/docs/api and follow the instructions to get a API key. Then include the key to the .env file in the project as following:

API_KEY=[YOUR-API-KEY]

Run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
