Making Italian OSM maps for Garmin GPS units

ital.img is a free software to create italian maps for Garmin GPS units using mkgmap
Dependencies
============
Check install.sh for required software and data.
mkgmap requires Java 1.8 or above to run.
Garmin contour lines are needed for cycling and hiking styles:
http://geodati.fmach.it/gfoss_geodata/osm/output_osm_srtm/openmtbmap_it_srtm.zip
Put them inside "openmtbmap_it_srtm" folder.
How to use
==========
Opzioni:
-d elimina file osm.bz2/pbf al termine delle operazioni
-f non scarica il file osm.bz2/pbf ma lo prende dalla cartella in cui si trova `basename $0`
-p scarica/usa file pbf anziché osm.bz2
-r crea i file regionali garmin e osm.bz2
-w crea i file regionali garmin e pbf
-i crea il file dell'Italia
-e crea il file dell'Italia con stile per escursionisti
-c crea il file dell'Italia con stile per ciclisti
-h visualizza questa schermata
-R nome crea i file della regione scelta in formato garmin, osm.bz2 e pbf
Examples
==========
To create map of Italy for Garmin you can run
sh italimg.sh -p -i
and it will download Italian OSM data from Geofabrik repository and create the map
of the whole Italy. Garmin output files are inside output_img folder.
It is also possible to create splitted files (osm.bz2 and/or pbf) of Italian regions in addition to Garmin maps.
They are saved into output_osm_regioni and output_img respectively.
sh italimg.sh -r
sh italimg.sh -w
Or for a single region creating both osm.bz2 and pbf.
sh italimg.sh -R "region"

To create other region you download the osm file from internet (geofabrick o something else)
and after you can run
sh other_nation.sh "name_of_file_without_.osm"
