.NET Learning with AdventureWorks database

Goal : In Visual Studio creation of a GUI for viewing data from AdventureWorks database.

To learn and get better with :

  • Entity Framework
  • Nuget Package Manager Console
  • .NET CLI
  • T-SQL
  • C# especially LINQ Query in the .NET 6 Framework.

  • 2022.8.12 Started a T-SQL learning lab based on AdventureWorks database

  • 2022.8.13

    • Set up AdventureWorks database on SQL Server Express 2019.
    • Created Console App project to use AdventureWorks in Visual Studio.
    • Added Nuget.org source and Entity Framework package.
    • Retro-engineered AdventureWorks DB model using Entity Framework (Code First).
    • The program can save a Customer and display the 10 recent names with LINQ. Some debugging.
