Sample project showing how to use a jekyll site with static submodule to build prototype pages for an application without full stack

Requires

  • Ruby
  • Jekyll

Setup

To start:

  1. Get the code git clone --recursive https://github.com/stevenalexander/jekyll-prototype-site.git
  2. Get dependencies bundle install
  3. Start Jekyll jekyll serve
  4. Go to http://localhost:4000 to view site

Updating styles

Update styles/resources under static, which will be included as a submodule in multiple web sites. Create sample jekyll pages to test and demonstate the style changes.
