Jellow is a communicator that uses icons/images to enable speech. It can be used by those learning to speak or those having difficulty with speech. Jellow is developed at the IDC School of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay located in Mumbai. A novel Visual Emotional Language Protocol (VELP) was conceived in order to enhance the language ability of Jellow. VELP represents the 6 core expressive icons of the interface. Using these core buttons, the child can communicate their likes, dislikes, and needs with others. Jellow has an easy-to-learn interface and visually appealing icons.
