MATLAB script for estimation of film/developer combination development times based on given combination samples.
Using given temperature and sensitivities, this script approximates the function time(sensitivity)
using logarithmic fitting by finding optimum values alpha
and beta
such that
time(sensitivity) = sensitivity^alpha + 10^beta
An example result of Tri-X 400 in Xtol. The algorithm determined t(asa) = asa^0.20537 + 10^0.44103
for Xtol 1+1
, which results in a development time of 6:10 for 400 ASA target sensitivity, 6:42 for 800 ASA etc.
