Installing failing in Debian

Hello,
Im running Debian stretch and this way of installing the rtpengine keeps failing due to the debhelper-compat (is not possible adding the lines like you specified:
#deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie-backports main
And also giving a try like this
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian jessie-backports main

Can you suggest how to proceed with the installation of nathelper-deb ?
