Gnome-Shell 3.10 support

Closed this issue · 13 comments

Hi there,

You history manager is working once changing version to 3.10, however icon overlay is not working. Any chance of getting this updated at all?

Regards,
Peter

Version 3.10 added in 57940b7.

Hi,

What distro do you use that you have gnome-shell 3.10?
I have Fedora and I feel like it's few months late with gnome-shell versions. (I would like to debug the window-overlay icons extension.)

When enabled the extension produces no errors, however when i click the configuration icon, then click on one of the radio buttons to set the position of the icon it kills gnome-tweak-tool with these errors:

(gnome-shell-extension-prefs:6036): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_radio_button_set_group: assertion '!g_slist_find (group, radio_button)' failed
Window manager warning: Buggy client sent a _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW message with a timestamp of 0 for 0x3000007 (GNOME Shel)
Window manager warning: meta_window_activate called by a pager with a 0 timestamp; the pager needs to be fixed.

(gnome-shell-extension-prefs:6036): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_radio_button_set_group: assertion '!g_slist_find (group, radio_button)'

Also even though there aren't any errors for the extension, there are also no icons either

You can very conveniently test GNOME 3.10 with Fedora 20 Live image. Alpha available here:
https://fedoraproject.org/en/get-prerelease
(and current pre-Beta available here:
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/20-Beta-TC5/Live/x86_64/)

Currently I use Fedora 20 in production and I'd love to have WindowOverlay Icons installed.

Thanks Kamil, I tried Ubuntu Gnome 13.10, but after upgrading to staging ppa I was unable to log on.
I totally forgot about Fedora's betas. :) I will try it.

Fixed for Gnome Shell 3.10 in 9ec9ee4.

Radio button group issue in windowoverlay preferences fixed in 66f2aaf .

Can you please post it to extensions.gnome.org?

I already uploaded it there. The reviewing process takes a while. :/

Hi,

I don't get any icons - are there any dependencies in Ubuntu that might be causing this?

Try to run:
$ gnome-shell --replace
in command line and restart GnomeShell (ALT+F2, r, ENTER).
Check the command line for errors.

Please ignore me - my mistake I thought I had a link to your git repo to my extensions folder but I didn't, I just deleted and recreated and now it's working as it should :)

Thanks again dude :)
