Ad Hoc Minecraft Server

A simple bash script for downloading and launching an ad hoc Minecraft server.

  1. Make sure that you have a recent edition of java installed!
  2. Install curl and jq if needed: sudo apt install curl jq (or download the server.jar manually.)
  3. Run the start script in an empty directory.

(You may want to edit the server.properties and whitelist.json sections of the script first.)

To update the server just delete the old server.jar file.
