This ASDF system defines a collection of definitions for processing strings and files. I created this collection back in 2000 primarily for automatically generating static HTML files based on HTML template files containing Lisp code that was replaced by the result of their evaluation (the introduction to this demo is here).
Nowadays there are better tools for doing such things, but I am still using some of my tools contained here.
