What are you listening to?

We thought the community could use some music-driven development (MDD).
What are you listening to? :)
I'll start - I'm currently listing to a lot of Chiptunes. Some good playlists to get you started:
- https://soundcloud.com/christian-feichtinger/sets/chiptunes
- https://soundcloud.com/roberth-max-johansson/sets/chiptunes-blip-blop-8-bit
Guidelines
- If possible, link to the album, playlist or track on Soundcloud, Spotify, Google Music or elsewhere.
- If a legit/legal link to it isn't available, just the album or track name should be solid. You can link to artists or somewhere your suggestion can be bought if you want. We don't mind.
- Be awesome to one another. This thread is all about the music :)

I usually add the latest albums from Pitchfork & Any Decent Music? to a Spotify playlist named month/year. After a few listens of each album I decided if I like it and will keep listening to it for the rest of the month, or delete it. I always end up with a good playlist by the end of the month :)
Here is what I'm listening to for January 2014...

.
I like all sorts of things, old grunge, Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Brit bands like Pulp and Blur, newer bands like Radiohead and Young Knives.
One catchy and slightly odd album that I keep replaying at the moment is Nightmare Revisited, which takes Danny Elfman's excellent score from the film and covers it via an odd and interesting range of artists:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K7Ua9I27tE&list=PL59F628DEA42564CD
God is an Astronaut is great for refactoring sessions. :)
Just finished listening to the new album by Young The Giant (Mind Over Matter) and now listening to Intentions (The Whitest Boy Alive) Radio on Google Music.
@ColinEberhardt Radiohead is a new band? lol :P

Sounds like a good idea to leave documented in your code comments, the music you were listening while coding. This may help future developers to understand your code better. (Code Meta-Data?)
Katy Perry's new album Prism: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBikDZ8WbA4
- Motorbreath - Metallica
- Blackened - Metallica
- Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden
Surprised to find so little of rock music here.
My favorite coding bands (all of them are on Spotify):

Here's my best of 2013 playlist. ~600 tracks. http://open.spotify.com/user/michaeltomko/playlist/2iVvEuEWSDkIvJzZs2iZYn
Been listening to a lot of cuban son/guaguanco/salsa, and I think it is very conducive to good code. Here are my top 5:
Que Son Uno - Joe Cuba

Buenos Hermanos - Ibrahim Ferrer
Mueve La Cintura Mulata - Cuarteto Oriente
Chin Chon Chow - Louie Ramírez

Any song in punjabi

But these days I am in love with this song
Anything with a lot of singing in it distracts me from working so I usually listen to a lot of trance.

Although I normally listen different music, for programming I find electronic music to be good. It shields me from outside, not to much vocals (thus not too distracting), good tempo and vibe (keeps my awareness up). I use mainly DigitallyImported (http://www.di.fm). Collection of channels is good, there are web players, mobile apps, and streaming playlist for desktop players.
So normally :
- I start with http://www.di.fm/clubdubstep
- if it gets too hard or too much vocals, I switch to http://www.di.fm/progressive
- If it gets to dull, switch back to 1.
- If 1-2-3 fails jump to http://www.di.fm/chillhop
- If 4. is too chilled out https://www.google.com/#q=site:youtube.com+%22vocal%22+~dubstep
@yoosiba - Dawg, you can drop the tilde:

Besides, what are the synonyms for dubstep?
@specious I guess my SEO is not up to date :)
and I am not sure for synonyms, but I guess I assumed that google machine learning algorithms would find some correlation with chillstep, downtempo, maybe dub...
