This is a modified version of pktstat that compiles and works on macOS.

To build, install GNU autotools from MacPorts, then:

$ git clone https://github.com/timkoi/pktstat
$ cd pktstat
$ automake --add-missing
$ autoreconf
$ ./configure --prefix=/opt/pktstat
$ make
$ sudo make install
$ sudo ln -vs /opt/pktstat/bin/pktstat /usr/local/bin/pktstat

To uninstall, run:

$ sudo rm -rvf /opt/pktstat /usr/local/bin/pktstat

documentation in pktstat(1) and the notices below.

Installation and operation of pktstat may need elevated privileges.
Be sure to ask the advice of an adult when using the superuser account.

The latest version of pktstat can be found through freshmeat.net.

LINUX

To aid construction in a Linux environment, ensure that the libpcap-dev
and ncurses-devel packages are at hand. Otherwise, you will see 
messages like this:
	main.c:18: pcap.h: No such file or directory
