ஆங்கிலமல்லாத மொழிகளின் எழுத்துக்களை தட்டச்சுவதற்காக எ-கலப்பை மென்பொருள் உருவாக்கப்படுகிறது. இதன் முந்தைய பதிப்புகள் கீமேன் என்ற மென்பொருளினை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. தற்போதைய 3.0 பதிப்பு முழுவதும் கட்டற்ற மென்பொருளாக புதியதாக உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதை லினக்ஸ், விண்டோஸ், மேக் மற்றும் சிம்பியன் இயங்குதளங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப வடிவமைக்கத் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம். ஆர்வமுள்ள நண்பர்கள் இத்திட்டத்தில் கலந்துகொள்ள அழைக்கிறோம். Aim of this project is to create an opensource keyboard manager to type non-english languages. eKalappai uses popular scim-table format for handling the keyboards. As of now ekalappai supports only tamil typing, we plan to support other languages soon.
