Description ---------------------------------- This script allows you to mass import site backups created from an Aegir install. It basically does this: http://community.aegirproject.org/node/117 How it works -------------------------- You copy the backups from your previous aegir install to a location similar to /var/aegir/tmp/migrate. This script will migrate any tar.gz file that is located in the migrate directoyr. How to use it ------------------- 1. Copy your backup files to your migrate directory (probably /var/aegir/tmp/migrate) 2. Edit the script and change the variables: _TMPFOLDER - This is where all your backup.tar.gz files are located. This needs to be an absolute value without a traliing backslash. Example" "/var/aegir/tmp/migrate" _INSTPROFILE - This is the install profile you want the sites to be under. Normal drupal installs are "default". Open Atrium's value would be: "openatrium" _PLATFORM- use the command "drush sa | grep platform" to see what platforms are available on your aegir system. They will look something like:"@platform_drupal6" include @ before it _BACKUPYEAR - This is just what year the backups where created int. Example:"2011" 3. Run the script. NOTE: Run it AS YOUR AEGIR USER su -s /bin/bash aegir #switching to your aegir user bash aegirimportbaskups.sh #run the script 4. Verify the platform you imported all the backups to inside the Aegir web UI NOTES ----------------------- If your using this with Octopus (https://github.com/omega8cc/nginx-for-drupal), your going to want to put the backup files in your octopus users directory and not in /var/aegir/. So if your octopus user is o1, your tmp directory will probably be "/data/disk/o1/tmp/migrate" and you will need to change the top of the script (step 2 above) to reflect that. You will also want to run the script with your o1 user instead of your aegir user.
