A continuous integration demo app using Node.js and Express 4.

This application supports the Getting Started on Heroku with Node.js article - check it out.

Running the App Locally

Make sure you have Node.js and the Heroku CLI installed.

$ git clone https://github.com/thawkin3/heroku-ci-demo # or clone your own fork
$ cd heroku-ci-demo
$ npm install
$ npm start

Your app should now be running on localhost:5000.

Running Tests Locally

• npm test: runs the JavaScript unit tests via Jest and DOM Testing Library
• npm run cypress:test: runs the integration tests via Cypress

Deploying to Heroku

$ heroku create
$ git push heroku master
$ heroku open
