Scene forward/back on main screen

A nice feature would be an option to have scene forward/back buttons on the main screen. When playing a live set, it's helpful to have controls like tap tempo readily available at all times. Currently, accessing tap tempo and changing scenes requires constantly switching back and forth between the two screens.

Phew, I understand the usefulness of your suggestions. Unfortunately it sounds simple, but it is definitely a challenge :-). The complete idea of how scenes are handled is questioned by this. What are the challenges?

  • Nice UI integration, including preview of the next scene, which will be coming up. But I am already getting tired of the current UI, since it is becoming quite "overloaded". So maybe it would be a good start for a more fundamental redesign ...
  • What to do, if the users changes speed (or notes)? Strictly speaking, we are not in the scene anymore then. Should we enter some kind of edit mode, allowing to save to changes to the scene? Should we exit the "scene mode", (not showing any scene name and scene controls) as it is currently done? Will the users start to feel uncomfortable, since they fear that their active scene will be modified? How to avoid this?
  • How to best allow the user to switch off the controls, if they don't want it?

I guess, it would be possible, but as said, better during a UI redesign. Which again is quite a high risk, since many people do not like change :-). So as long as there is not a good idea how to integrate this nicely with very little change, I can only keep it in mind and maybe in some distant future will reconsider integrating this ...
