Both .stl and .sldprt files have been included for your convinence. All SLDPRT files were made on SOLIDWORKS 2022.
In this repository are all the parts required to build the chronic implant. It is made for use with the Cambridge Neurotech Mini-Amp and silicon probes. All parts were printed on FormLabs Form 3+. Specific printing instructions including resin type, density, and touchpoint size are detailed depending on the part.
This is the module that holds the probe. It is re-used across implantations. Print in Rigid resin with density at 80 and touchpoint size at 0.4mm.
This is the module that is cemented to the skull after being screwed to the payload module. A new docking module is required for each implantation. Print in Rigid resin with density at 80 and touchpoint size at 0.4mm.
This is the module that inserts into the payload in order to hold and stablilize the amplifier. It is re-used across implantations. Print in Rigid resin with density at 80 and touchpoint size at 0.4mm.
This is the cover for the implant. It protects the flex cable between the probe and amplifier. It is re-used across implantations. Print in Black resin with density 90 and touchpoint size at 0.4mm.
In this section are all the parts needed to create the jig for assembly.
This is a holder that can is inserted into the payload module during assembly so that the payload module is centered. Print in Black resin with density 80 and touchpoint size at 0.45mm.
This is a holder that holds the docking module in place when using the jig to combine the two modules. Print in Black resin with density 80 and touchpoint size at 0.45mm.
This is the base of the assembly jig. It is used to secure the rods. Print in Black resin with density 80 and touchpoint size at 0.45mm.
This is an attachment for a rod to hold the payload module. Print in Black resin density 80 and touchpoint size 0.40mm.
This is the complete implant assembly.

M1 Brass knurled inserts (5x): To be heat-inserted into the Payload.
-
M3 Brass knurled inserts (6x): To be heat-inserted into the Docking Holder and support base.
-
M1 Screws (5x): To lock modules together.
-
M3 10mm screws (6x): For securing the Docking Module in its holder, and the rods in the support base

6.4mm diameter rods: For creating the assembly jig
This is a cleaning cap for the cleaning of the probes after use. It is designed to screw on to 20mL vial.
All .sldprt files were created using SOLIDWORKS 2022. This design is inspired by the Coen-Lab Apollo Implant.
