wp_remote_post_example is a simple plugin used to demonstrate how to take advantage of the WordPress HTTP API for submitting post requests.

Description

After installation, each single post will display some information about the visitor to the site that's visible in a small area at the bottom of each post. This information will be saved to the database in the associated post's meta data.

Note that this plugin is used as part of the A Look at the WordPress HTTP API series on WPTuts+.

Installation

Using The WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the 'Add New' Plugin Dashboard
  2. Select wp-remote-post-example.zip from your computer
  3. Upload
  4. Activate the plugin on the WordPress Plugin Dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Extract wp-remote-post-example.zip to your computer
  2. Upload the wp-audio-player directory to your wp-content/plugins directory
  3. Activate the plugin on the WordPress Plugins dashboard
