Insta Grabber - Unofficial Instagram API

• Grab Instagram's post data from Instagram website, and return a JSON formatted strings.
• Note:
  • This is not the official API, this is actually just a "hack", or workaround for obtaining the data. This might not last forever.
  • For fetching Instagram post data, this API only work for public instagram accounts, cannot fetch data from a private account. But to fetch user's profile data, both public and private accounts works.

• 17/03/2018
  • Update the fetch user's profile data API since IG have changed the JSON data structure.
  • Update the fetch photo data API to return locations url and id.
  • Update the demo page, now will show both videos and photos inside carousel slides.
  • Update the demo page, now have tab menu to select between fetching user's Post Data and Profile Data.

  • Update the API by adding new feature. Now can fetch the user's profile data such as the profile picture and biography.

  • Update the API since Instagram now change the JSON data structure.

  • Update script to grab all photos from Instagram post. Since now Instagram has allowed users to upload multiple photos per post.
  • Now script will grab video url, if the Instagram post is a video.
  • Redesigned UI for Demo page. Using Bootstrap framework.

  • Created a separated page/file for demo.
  • API (index.php) only scrape instagram post, and return a new JSON formatted strings.
  • Check if data found, display message

Installation

Drop all files into your server

Usage

1. For fetching post data

   • Usage: http://site.com/index.php?postUrl=URLPOST , where URLPOST is the Instagram post url

2. For fetching user's profile data

   • Usage: http://site.com/index.php?username=USERNAME , where USERNAME is the Instagram user profile url

• It will then return a JSON formatted string, you can parse the JSON string and do what you want with it.
