Dive Club

Description:
Dive Club is at it's core an excuse to unwind, unplug, and visit a part of town that you may not otherwise.
We visit a different dive bar each month as a group to enjoy a simpler (and cheaper) night out away from the numerous gastropubs and fancy coctail bars littered with antique light fixtures and retro chic tabletops. Not that we have anything against those places, it's just nice to mix it up now and again.

Research:
On a more personal level, I as the creator wanted to see who if anyone would be interested in this sort of thing. When people started to show up, I wanted to "study" what the minimum amount of interaction between organizer and members would be required to maintain the thing. In some ways it's a small social experiment in how people are willing to spend their time. You can see more about my thought process here in the Wiki.
