Data analysis of Nobel Prize Awards with dbt and DuckDB

This is a small dbt project that shows how to use dbt with DuckDB as data processing engine.

Raw data is obtained from the Nobel Prize API.

Results are rendered to a static report with the open source BI reporting tool Evidence (BI as code).

Local setup

# Clone the repo

cd nobel-prize-report/

# Install requirements
pip install -r requirements.txt
dbt deps

# Build dbt project docs
dbt docs generate

# Serve dbt project docs
# documentation site is served at http://localhost:8080
# dbt docs serve

# Download raw data

# Run dbt
