how much of the python code will be used for the port? often it's easier to just recreate things using godot's native node system instead of using structures from another language. a complete rewrite will be work-heavy but it's much easier to maintain and it becomes more modular if it's done the godot way from the start.

I think it’s more an rewrite. Because we don’t use python in Godot. We use gdscript. We use some systems from old uh but not the code itself.
