Run the application during development (rebuilding if needed):
./gradlew run # on Windows, you would use the gradlew.bat instead
Install a distribution locally, for testing the distribution package:
./gradlew installDist
Now you can run build/install/schematron-validation/bin/schematron-validation
or,
if on Windows, build/install/schematron-validation/bin/schematron-validation.bat
.
Build TAR and ZIP distributions for actual distribution:
./gradlew assembleDist
The distributions are in build/distributions/
. You can unpack either of them
on deployment site, assuming there’s Java 17 or newer installed.
They contain the same files that you can see in build/install/schematron-validation
after running the installDist
Gradle task.
Sometimes all you need is a JAR:
./gradlew jar
The JAR is in build/libs/schematron-validation-0.1.0.jar
.
It can be run by (again, assuming Java 17 or newer is on PATH
):
java -cp build/libs/schematron-validation-0.1.0.jar fi.linuxbox.schematron.validation.Main
