GboardCustomSticker

This demo aims to show how can we create a custom sticker pack for the Google Keyboard, GBoard.

Pre-requisites

A device running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or newer, and Google Play services 11.4.0 or higher
The Google Play services SDK from the Google Repository, available in the Android SDK Manager
The latest version of Android Studio, version 1.5 or higher
Firebase index configuration
Google-services.json, a configuration from your Firebase project
Install Google Keyboard application

Introduction

Steps for trying out this sample:

This sample uses the Gradle build system. To build this project, use the "gradlew build" command or use "Import Project" in Android Studio.
Get Google-service.json from your firebase project
Compile and install the mobile app onto your mobile device or emulator.
Once the application is installed, go to google keyboard and choose sticker.

Encounter Issues

Error:org.gradle.api.GradleException: File google-services.json is missing. The Google Services Plugin cannot function without it.

Solution: You need to provide your google-service.json generated by your firebase project.

Android App Indexing → FirebaseAppIndexingInvalidArgumentException Intent cannot be resolved;

Solution: provide the intent filter to your activity in the manifest.xml
