AppManager
it is a perl module implemented for using with command-line utility that
allows remotely manage a Tomcat web server. Full pipeline based
on the next functionality and includes the next steps:
1. Deployment java war aka web archive. For testing purpose repository
includes folder hello-world-web with a smale Hello World Maven project
with hello-world-web.war
perl app-manager.pl -a deploy -n hello-world-web -w hello-world-web/target/hello-world-web.war --configfile script/app-manager.conf
OK - Deployed application at context path /hello-world-web
2. Undeploy before deployied web applicaition
perl -Ilib script/app-manager.pl -a undeploy -n hello-world-web --configfile script/app-manager.conf
OK - Undeployed application at context path /hello-world-web
3. Reload before deployed web application
perl -Ilib script/app-manager.pl -a reload -n hello-world-web --configfile script/app-manager.conf
OK - Reloaded application at context path /hello-world-web
4. Stop web application
perl app-manager.pl -a start -n hello-world-web --configfile script/app-manager.conf
OK - Started application at context path /hello-world-web
5. Start web applicaiton
perl app-manager.pl -a stop -n hello-world-web --configfile script/app-manager.conf
OK - Stopped application at context path /hello-world-web
6. Check status web application
perl app-manager.pl -a status -n hello-world-web --configfile script/app-manager.conf
OK - hello-world-web application for virtual host localhost
Context: /hello-world-web
Status: running
Sessions: 1
Name: hello-world-web
AppManager is a class applicaton written with Moose.
Configuration implemented in dual way, used configuration file and
commad line arguments. Command line arguments have advantages.
Module created as standard CPAN compatable archive, and processed
standard way. Deatailed documentaion available
perldoc AppManager
Just as an example of usage:
perl -Ilib script/app-manager.pl -a undeploy -n hello-world-web --configfile script/app-manager.conf
INSTALLATION
To install this module, run the following commands:
perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
make install
