If you're looking for resources to learn about web programming, checkout @jlord's hello-world content.
It's hard to get started when you're not sure about what to do, so here are some suggestions:
-
Try adding a file with your username in the title. For example, my username is muan, so I'd create a file named
muan.html
, like this. It can be any type of files you want, may it bemuan.md
,muan.txt
, or justmuan
. -
Add your username to
human.txt
. -
(:+1: Bonus) Sort the
human.txt
, so the file is in an alphabetical order. -
(:+1: Bonus) Add some fun content to your own file. Check out mine: http://muan.co/hello-world/muan.html
-

Make your changes on your fork however you want. The easiest way is to make them through GitHub's interface. See this guide for details. Note that you should be on a url like
https://github.com/your_username/hello-world
when you follow the steps in the guide.

If you're already an experienced GitHub user and wants to help, please add your username to the MAINTAINERS list, create a pull request, and I'll merge it after adding you as a collaborator, so you'll be able to merge pull requests in the future. Before that happens, feel free to review pull requests and comment when someone needs help.
