The module directory must go in $GODOT_REPO_ROOT/modules/ and be named gdmir. I suggest symlinking it: ln -s $ABSOLUTE_PATH_TO_GDMIR/module $GODOT_REPO_ROOT/modules/gdmir
example contains a minimal Godot project using GDMir.
