You can click one the top Codespace icon and you will get a new Codespace. However, if you crash your Codespace, you still need to delete and re-create a new one.
If you want to full rebuild the container, you disable the read only files.

Open a Powershell window as administrator and type the following:
Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser
Then respond y to any questions.
You need to use create virtual environment as you should not corrupt your Python in Windows.
python -m venv .venv
.venv/Scripts/Activate.ps1
pip install -r requirements.txt
Follow the above demo of Windows version, but you don't need to open Powershell to type that Execution Policy command. The same thing you have to do is to create virtual environment as you should not corrupt your Python in macOS. The code will be a bit different.
