A scalable, customizable, configurable, programmable, webserver framework

Installation

Simply install python and type pip install ports.py

Usage

Start a static server in three lines:

from ports import APP, static_APP
app = static_APP()
app.run()

then all files in www/ will be hosted

Start a dynamic server:

from ports import APP, static_APP


app = APP()

@app.route("/")
def index():
  return "hi!"
@app.route("/hi/") # unlike flask you can put either /hi or /hi/ and it will work fine
def hi():
  return "hello"
@app.route("/bye") # will still work
def bye():
  return "bye"

app.run()

Make your own handler/framework:

from ports import APP, static_APP, tools


app = APP()
app.on("request")
def frame(app,req):
  if req.method == "GET":
    if req.path == "/":
      return "Index (/)"
app.run()

Make a response:

from ports import APP, static_APP, tools, Response


app = APP()
app.route("/")
def index():
  resp = Response(status="200 OK", content="hello world thru resp")
  resp.headers.add("key","value")
  return resp
app.run()

Events:
