What To Do

Fork or clone this repository and update it with code to satisfy the following criteria:

  • ArithmeticApplication.java should run and take three arguments from the command line (an operation, one of +, -, and *; then two numbers) and prints out the result of using that operation on those two numbers in that order.
    • Running java -jar arithmetic.jar - 10 8 should print out 2
  • All of the tests in ArithmeticApplicationTests.java pass.

Feel free to:

  • Add tests we don't have covered.
  • Better error handling.
  • Explain in comments what you were doing / thinking, especially if you know you haven't gotten it exactly right.

Submission Process

  • Send us a link to your fork or open a merge request, a zip of your code or any other way of getting us your project.

What We're Looking For

  • Good coding practices.
  • Identifying edge cases.
