csv-*.py

Simple tools to work wwith CSV files with headers

  • csv-formatter.py - format content of headered CSV file
  • csv-sorter.py - format content of headered CSV file

DebugWraper.py

Contains wrapper for debugging calls on object plus few handy functions, including one to show type in similar fashion to Haskell types.

extract-partial-zip.py

This simple tool is intended for cases when you download large zip archive and want inspect content in already downloaded part. Already extracted parts are skipped.

Archive is not held in whole in memory, archived files though are (possible future enhancement?).

In case you want to recover broken zip, you may prefer to use zip -FF instead. However, this script is designed to be easily modifiable, so you can turn off some checks and try to use it for recovery too.

playlistserver.py

Simple server to serve music folders as playlists. When run from directory, it will serve its content as playlist, showing only files with appropriate extensions.

stock-watch.py

Script to retrieve and display information about given tickers. Data obtained from Yahoo.

Example usage

clear; while :; do python stock-watch.py RHT MSFT GOOG EURUSD=X; read -t 3600; echo -n "========== "; date; done

Works nice with cron to get daily changes.
