This is the course project for MECE 4210 Energy infrastructure planning at Columbia University. Analyzed the electricity usage, generation and transmission of New York State in year 2011. Proposed wind turbine arrangement of wind sites to achieve the optimum utilization of wind energy. This arrangement considers the capacity factor of wind energy of each site under several circumstances, the hourly demand of West, East and Down state, baseload generation. limit of transmission lines and the cost of additional transmission lines.
