やまとうた

やまとうた (Yamatouta) is an open-source online database for yamato-kotoba, which is like Anglish for Japanese; and for yamato-uta, a type of poetry in classical Japanese literature. やまとうた is the successor project of いにしえのまなび (Inishienomanabi), an online yamato-kotoba dictionary, which was founded in 2015. Key features from いにしえのまなび will be gradually merged into やまとうた.

This project is still in a very early stage of development.

Mitsue Yamamoto, my grandmother; Ms. Asano; Mr. Kajiwara; Mr. Senoo; Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece; Kimio Serifu, the editor of 現代語から古語を引く辞典; Kōji Takahashi, the author of 日本の大和言葉を美しく話す; Kazuya Kujime from Tenchigaraku; riipah, the creator of VocaDB; Peter MacMillan, the author of 英語で読む百人一首; n-buna from Yorushika; Katsuhiro Seta, the editor of 和歌データベース; and others inspired me a lot to create this project. Thanks a lot!
