OWASP (https://www.owasp.org) is a not-for-profit entity, that ensures the project's long-term success. Similar to many open-source software projects, we are volunteers from around the world, open to anyone interested in learning more about software security.
Each month two speakers from the local security community will share their knowledge on a security topic ranging from introductory/beginner level to more advanced topics. Presentations are followed up with a catchup at a local pub. If you're interested in IT Security and related topics, looking to learn a bit more, or want to meet up with fellow security people, then you should definitely check out a meeting.
All Sec is an informal community-driven meetup for those looking to learn new skills and meet like-minded people from the infosec industry. The infosec space is vast, and we want to encourage people to share their diverse knowledge and experience through presentations, technical demos and hands-on challenges.
In collaboration with the Bay Area Software Defined Radio (SDR) group, the Melbourne SDR meetup will serve as a forum to exchange knowledge and ideas related to Software Defined Radio (the software and hardware), and generally aim to get people excited about all the applications that can be realised with the technology. At each meetup, attendees will have the opportunity to present their work/ideas to the group. Engineers, enthusiasts, hobbyists and people of all experience levels are welcome, no matter what your software/hardware background. Everyone is welcome to submit their ideas/presentations to the pool. For each meetup, a fixed number will be chosen to fit the format.
SecTalks Brisbane is a non-profit session for technical security talks, and hands-on challenges. A forum to discuss technical (in)security stuff and share our thoughts. On the 4th Thursday of each month at 6pm.
CSides Monthly Security Meetups provide an opportunity to listen to and share security research within the Canberra region. The meeting occurs normally on the 3rd Friday of every month. Each meetup consists of 1-2 talks of around 30 mins each. Talks start at 6pm and are followed by some socialising at a local pub. New attendees are welcome, just come along! (There are no entry fees, and no tickets to book) The talks at CSides are technical. CSides welcomes new and interesting speakers to present - the topic will be on a technical or security issue.
