Amazon Simple Email Service is an email platform that provides an easy, cost-effective way for you to send and receive email using your own email addresses and domains.

Run Locally

Clone the project

  git clone https://github.com/zablon-oigo/aws-sns.git

Go to the project directory

  cd aws-ses

Install dependencies

  pip install -r requirements.txt

Start the server

  py manage.py runserver

Setting up docker-compose

Using a virtual environment, even when using Docker, is useful so you have easy access to your dependencies and are still isolated from other projects. Assuming you have Docker and docker-compose installed, activate your virtual environment and run

docker-compose up

Running Tests

To run tests, run the following command

  py manage.py test

How to Set up your SES account

Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the Amazon SES console
Select Get Started from the SES console home page and the wizard will walk you through the steps of setting up your SES account.

The SES account setup wizard will only be presented if you have not yet created any identities (email address or domain) in SES.
