Hyper-V live migration issue

Hello,

We have Zevenet CE running on an Hyper-V 2016 environment. When we do an live migration to another Hyper-V host all user sessions are disconnected.

I noticed that the Hyper-V Integration tools are not possible to install.

Any idea how we can fix this?

Hi, in Debian 10 the Integratetion services are already installed as Kernel Modules, so you don't need to install anything additional. On the other hand try to install the package hyperv-daemons 1-Configure the apt repository pointed to public Debian 10 2. install the package as indicated: apt-get update apt get install hyperv-daemons Maybe it could fix the issue, please confirm. I have installed the hyperv-daemons and now I see the server information back in Hyper-V. But the disconnects still happen when we do live migrations to another Hyper-V host.

Any idea how to solve this? Or is this software not build for this type of maintenance and do we need to look for another solution?

Hi Mexxwell, I think this kind of challenging phrases "Or is this software not build for this type of maintenance and do we need to look for another solution?" can be avoided, more when you are requesting help for an Open Source solution and when you are receiving help from someone (me) that is stopping to his own work for helping you. So honestly if you want to use another solution feel free to do it but always with respect to the work of others which you are using for free. On the other hand, live migration is not a feature in a Virtual Machine but in the Hypervisor. I can waste my time finding a bug in the load balancing core but it is not related to that. Thanks! Sorry, it was not my intention to be rude. Just wanted to open the possibility when it is not working as expected. Sorry if I offended you!

So you are saying that it should work, but it probably caused by Debian and not so much the load balancer itself? And the solution is somewhere in the OS.
