Steps to be followed:

Install Node js from - https://nodejs.org/

Install Ruby from - https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/documentation/installation/#rubyinstaller

Install Git from - https://git-scm.com/downloads

Add Ruby path to windows environment variables in "User variable for user", Add npm path also for Grunt to work Example: PATH = "C:/Users/user/Appdata/Roaming/npm"

Install Grunt with command "npm install -g grunt-cli"

Install ruby gem from https://rubygems.org/pages/download
-
Install compass using command (for sass) "gem install compass" "gem install sass"
-
finally go to the applicaiton root folder where your grunt file located in git bash, run the command "grunt serve"
