This repository has script for Bibtex clean up.
Installation:
sudo apt-get install perl
sudo apt-get install libtext-bibtex-perl
Usage:

Copy sort.pl in the directory containing the thesis.bib file with your bilbiography

Run perl sort.pl
-
Watch for warnings
-
You will get an outhout newthesis.bib
