JMdict to JSON

This project has the purpose of downloading and converting the JMdict and JMnedict files to json.

Requirements:

  • The download.sh script requires python3 to be available as a command.
  • the python package xmltodict must be installed, for example with pip3 install xmltodict.
# Creates the jmdict.json and jmnedict.json files
